Meet the Team

In 1984, Don started his career in the Automotive Industry. He spent his first four years at Curtis Chrysler in Orland Park, IL followed by the next eleven years at Pommerening Chevrolet in Oshkosh. Don has been with Jacobson Auto Sales since April 1999, guiding customers and fellow employees with his wide-ranging expertise. His responsibilities include: sales, bookkeeping, managing vehicle inventory, appraisals and working with prospective customers.

With Jacobson Auto Sales being a family-run operation, Don has developed a personal approach to working with our customers. Over the years he has been very successful in satisfying the needs of customers from the moment they walk onto our lot until long after the sale.

Along with spending most of his life in the Fox Valley, Don attended the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. His wife Jacquie teaches history and civics at Menasha High School, daughter Lindsay is a financial consultant in Milwaukee, son Nick attends UW Oshkosh and Max a senior at Oshkosh West High School. Don has a Private Pilot License and his pastimes include travel, boating/fishing, bicycling, taking care of his lawn and garden, and cheering-on the Brewers.

Jim is the Service Manager at Jacobson Automotive. A veteran of the wrench, he has 18 years of experience with companies like Bergstrom, Farm and Fleet, and Good Year. With numerous technical and service certifications as well as specialized education in electrical systems, drivelines, ac/heat, vehicle vibration and engine performance, you can trust him to restore your car or truck to top operating condition. Jim has seen every possible angle of your car, from hood-ornament to tail pipe, and has spent hundreds of hours behind the wheel of a tow truck.

On the showroom floor, Jim is laid-back and enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience with customers who want to learn more before their purchase. He prefers our “no-pressure” environment where customers can be at ease as they consider their options. Jim also helps with vehicle prep and setting-up the lot.

Jim’s family includes his wife, two daughters, one son, and one cat! Ever the ‘car guy’, he especially enjoys watching programs like “Pinks” and movies like “The Fast and the Furious.” Jim isn’t one to leave his work at the office; in his spare time he wrenches on snowmobiles – including one that will run a quarter mile in 10 seconds!

Jeff spent his childhood around cars, mostly at the dealership his father bought back in the ‘60s (it was known as Plummer Auto at that time.) Jeff started-out mowing lawn, painting the buildings, touching-up cars and shortly after his eighteenth birthday he earned a position at Goodyear as part of a co-op. It was his boss at Goodyear who first to labeled him as a ‘lifer’ in the auto industry…and the boss couldn’t have been more right! In 1990 Jeff took over at Jacobson Automotive from his father with three goals in mind:

1. Offering higher-quality automobiles than the competition 2. Personalizing the car-purchasing process for each customer 3. Emphasizing car care and maintenance for a happier car-ownership experience

Jeff spends most of his time caring for the day-to-day details of managing the dealership. However, he is actively involved in both selecting vehicles for the lot and ensuring that excellence and ‘personal service’ are hallmarks of the customer experience at Jacobson Automotive.

Before taking over at the Dealership Jeff attended UW Oshkosh, received specialized training in computer repair and earned a Master Certification in Automotive Service Excellence (ASE Certification). His hobbies include hunting, hiking, fishing, and taking care of his hobby-farm.
